acidburn is the LUUG's public shell and email server. If you would like an account, please contact one of our officers. Acidburn was rebuilt without Kerberos in Fall of 2015, after the CVL eviction. It is currently running as a VM on cyberdelia

The name comes from that of a character in the movie Hackers

Current Configuration

Uncurlhalo was mostly responsible for the current setup.

Mail is Postfix/Dovecot, and is IMAP-accessible

Depends on Razor for LDAP. Homedirs are mounted via NFS on Tank/Cyberdelia

Old Acidburn Features

It offers Iodine DNS tunneling and per user web hosting.

To host files on acidburn create a directory

   $HOME/public_html

And place your files there. It will service indexes as the root so you can place index.html and it will be served as

   http://users.vtluug.org/~username/

Make sure public_html is world readable.
