#vtluug on irc.oftc.net is the LUUG IRC channel. Beginning in 2008, some folks began to idle on irc.freenode.net in #vtluug. In fall 2009, there were generally a dozen LUUG members, alumni and associates on at any given time.

On February 28, 2012, the approximately 30 members on the channel made the decision to migrate to irc.oftc.net due to persistent stability issues with Freenode and some issues that some members had with the staff.

Ping voiced or opped members for help (except for Wadsworth or truncatedcone, who are bots).

Rules

  • Use common sense and treat others as you wish to be treated. No flaming, trolling, or personal attacks; if you must, take it to PM please.
  • Do not flood the channel; if it's more than 3 lines, please use a pastebin.
  • #vtluug is for newcomers and experts alike. Please be helpful and friendly to everyone or don't say anything at all.
  • Please do not announce /away in the channel (or change your status to indicate such).
