Minecraft

Minecraft is a block game beloved by many. It is neither open-source nor libre, but due to the easily-decompiled nature of java bytecode (and leaked debug symbols), its community treats it as if it were source-available.

VTLUUG hosts a minecraft server.

VTLUUGsmp

VTLUUGsmp is a Minecraft server hosted by VTLUUG at minecraft.vtluug.org. It was formerly whitelist-only, but is now password protected, ask on the IRC for the password.

Rules

1. No hacked clients (shit like optifine & sodium is fine)
2. No griefing people you aren't at war with
3. If you want to start a war with someone, everyone in every group involved has to agree to start a war.
4. When you want to stop a war, every group involved has to be in favor of it. If your enemy surrenders, you have to negotiate on terms of surrender together and both agree on them. Violating terms of surrender is grounds to start a second war.
5. No lag machines or shit that bans other players, shit like that
6. No doxxing
7. No stealing from people you aren't at war with
8. No windows apologists

Skid Invasion

The Skid Invasion of '25 was an incident when a skid "invaded" the vtluugsmp and did very minor damage. The whitelist was shortly implemented after the invasion.

Duration of invasion: 4 minutes Causes: not having a whitelist Participants: localhunter, the skids. Casualties: A Wither, Hunter's time.

Aftermath

The vtluugsmp enabled a whitelist (no longer implimented) , and Hunter lost some armor
