System Recommendations

Walls should be compatible with all recent versions of Windows, particularly XP, Vista, 7, 8.0, 8.1, and 10.  The next major update of Walls will probably require Windows 7 or above to take advantage of new graphics technology and to avoid our having to work around Microsoft's diminishing support for Windows XP in its code libraries.

Memory and resource requirements are typical of a modest sized Windows program.  A display resolution greater than 1024x768 is recommended since you'll want to have multiple windows open on the screen.  A mouse is practically a requirement -- at least for me.

The performance of printers and plotters is of course dependent on their respective Windows device drivers and is not always predictable.  In Walls you'll want to experiment with the settings in Options | Printed Maps.  Laser printers, especially, should present no problem.  In years past, users have also had success with HP DeskJet models, Epson ink-jets, Fujitsu dot-matrix printers, and some large format plotters (mostly HP brands).
