Events

On Saturday October 30, Jon Stewart will host the "Rally to Restore Sanity" and simultaneously Stephen Colbert will host the counter-event "March to Keep Fear Alive" in Washington DC. Both events will be (from the official FAQ) "on the far eastern end of the National Mall between 3rd Street and 7th Street, known as East Seaton Park and Henry Park" and will start at around noon and end at 3 PM. Rally attendees are encouraged to make their own signs, while March attendees are encouraged to come in costume. There is no charge for either event.

Tentative plans

We will need housing to stay the night on Friday. Saying outside the city is preferable for cost and traffic reasons. Anyone with volunteer housing please notify Matt immediately. We should be back in Blacksburg anywhere from 8 PM Saturday (optimistic) to 11 PM (pessimistic).
