Time/Location

Meeting:

  • Time: 2025-02-05 12:00:00
  • Location: McBryde CS Lounge
  • Subject: Installfest!, (12:00PM to 5:00 PM)
  • Presenter: VTLUUG

Plan/Description

VTLUUG's once-and-now-again semesterly festival of pizza & install media. Come experience

+ linux users in a room for five hours

+ esoteric operating system installation (TempleOS, anybody?)

+ doing irresponsible things with infrastructure

+ free pizza

Meeting Notes

  • Great turnout. Helped 4 or 5 people out, got a couple new club members, interacted with some CyberVT folks
  • rsk nabbed a switch and ethernet from woovit, but it didn't get much use
  • Dominos stole $60 of pizza from us -- delivery driver claimed he couldn't get into the (always-unlocked...) McBryde

Installs

  • Mint: 1
  • KDE Neon: 1
  • OpenBSD: 1/2
  • AntiX 1
  • TempleOS: does booting a self-compiling iso count as installation?
