The EL Migration Project is a 1 year project which will involve upgrading our infrastructure, which is entirely Debian, to Enterprise Linux. VTLUUG has had issues with Debian, including terrible defaults, upgrading packages overwrites configuration file without warning or means to intervene, inconsistency among packages, and init script issues. EL is a enterprise ready linux distribution that actually has a major company, RedHat, backing it. It doesn't have these problems.
How will it work
