Basic setup procedure

  • Setup KVM
  • Recompile kernel to enable IOMMU optimizations and pcistub
  • Blacklist $hardware_to_passthru
  • Turn off the to-be-passthrud-pci-ports with pcistub
  • Boot said kernel
  • Install $windows in a VM
    • Leave cirrus VGA enabled until you install the Radeon drivers and virtio.
