'''Wood''' is was the primary server of the [[VTLUUG]]. It was built in late 2010 with hardware selected by the [[Infrastructure:Wood#Hardware Selection Task Force|Hardware Selection Task Force]] and currently resides in the <s>[[gp:CVL|CVL]] in [[gp:Whittemore Hall|Whittemore Hall]]</s>[[User:uncurlhalo|uncurlhalo's]] house. The name "wood" was given to the server based on the fact that until March 5th, 2011, it had no case and rested on a piece of plywood instead.

For future referenceWood is not currently in service due to the [[CVL eviction]]. Wood also has a tendency to shortwhenever someone touches the case, meaning it may stay out of service permanently. This is due,in part, to the horrible mounting and positioning in the case; the motherboard is a full17" square, thus the PSU is mounted to nothing in the front of the case, along with the VTLUUG rack hard drivesand CD drive. The hardware is listed below, in info about the HSTF.
