'''Wood''' is the primary server of the [[VTLUUG]]. It was built in late 2010 with hardware selected by the [[Infrastructure:Wood#Hardware Selection Task Force|Hardware Selection Task Force]]and currently resides in the <s>[[gp:CVL|CVL]] in [[gp:Whittemore Hall|Whittemore Hall]]</s>[[User:uncurlhalo|uncurlhalo's]] house. The name "wood" was given to the server based on the
fact that until March 5th, 2011, it had no case and rested on a piece of plywood instead.
Wood is not currently in service due to the [[CVL eviction]]. Wood also has a tendency to short whenever someone touches the case, meaning it maystay out of service permanently. This is due,in part, to the horrible mounting and positioning in the case; the motherboard is a full17" square, thus the PSU is mounted to nothing in the front of the case, along with the hard drivesand CD drive. The hardware is listed below, in info about the HSTF.
